Just a theory

This is just a theory I thought up during online school. It's a kind of wrong warp kind of a thing. What if you could manipulate the game's data so the screen would scroll in the coin areas? Because they are all in the same room, you could go in the last pipe and get to maybe 8-2? This will almost certainly never happen but it's just a cool thought I had

I can look into the games data and see if it’s possible It’ll take a while tho

wow, nice theory yeah It sound like posible, but well, very very hard Maybe somebody do some of those days a TAS for it yeah

Ps: have to say that if something like that is discover just should make a new category if it can be done in 3 minutes xd

Yeah, definitely a new category if it ever happened

The coin areas are reused per level, the exit pipes are loaded based on the level you're in. The only place where you would be able to save time that I'm aware of is in 1-1, where the unused coin areas send you to the end of 1-2. In all the other levels I believe they send you to the start of the current level.

But yeah, wouldn't expect anything like that to be found.

this has already been discussed in the community and we're "actively" trying to find an ACE for SMB 1. we think all stars might have better luck but the best theory we got so far is that we could use a 4-2 pipe to skip to 8-4 or some crazy inputs to change the ram addresses located in pipes at 1-2 to gain an advantage. doesn't seem like it's happening any time soon but we never know :D

Cool, I thought it could've been tried before. I hope it works out and a setup is found
