For all the top runners, they all use an input display, yet I cant figure out how you do it. Can someone link me to a guide or something for NES input displays, thanks
it's basically they splice their controller to a Arduino and they have an application to read it. search nintendospy.
https://github.com/jaburns/NintendoSpy/blob/master/docs/guide-evilash25.md <--- I used this guide to make mine... And bought a soldering gun from Amazon
If you don't wanna make one for yourself, there are also many input displays on https://inputviewer.com/ . Thats where jtknott and I got it from.
Oh wow - they sell theirs for $35... If I had known about buying one for that price there's no way I would have made my own
I probably spent almost that much in materials... and then had to buy a soldering gun, and learn to solder.
Really good price.
Side note - you're going to have to delay the VIDEO and AUDIO on OBS if you want sync between the controller display and the video display... If memory serves, on mine it was like 400ms delay to get it perfect, but just play around with numbers... otherwise there will be an apparent lag between the display and the inputs on screen
