TAS weird thing

So, first of all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I don't have a TASvideos account, so this is the best option. So I was making a TAS of a romhack in FCEUX, and for some reason whenever I playback from power on, inputs are slightly off, but when I playback from the beginning of the room in question, everything works as normal. Can somebody please help me?

I don't know if I understand you correctly, but I'll give it my best shot.

Emulator has this thing called "Input Lag". Input lag means that there's a delay when you press the button. What I mean by this is that say if you press A, then Mario will jump slightly later instead of right when you press the button. They're usually off by a few frames.

This probably isn't the case but that might be the reason, again I don't think I understand you correctly so if I'm wrong then someone else can probably clarify. :)

@Mars02 I know about that stuff, it's something diferent (I think). I'll record a video of it.

Hmmm, I don't know.

Hopefully someone else can find out what it is. :)

Okay. Thanks for looking at it though!

For any reason, at the exact frame you start in the 1st , in the 2nd one has a diferent position, probably because it been changed

I can hear your game lag. You game probably doesn't run at a constent fps. That's the only explaination that comes into my mind rn. I've TASed a lot with fceux and never had this problem. Hope I helped

Did you edit memory values?

Try selecting all the frames (ctrl+a), right clicking and pressing 'ungreenzone', or go into File > Save Compact, save the file and open the new file. If it's because you've edited memory or the rom file in some way that should clear it up.

Hope this doesn't count as a necro, but I believe I've figured it out. For some reason, when I playback the TAS from in that room, the hidden block doesn't spawn for some reason. No idea why or how this happens, but there were a few parts of the TAS I wasn't happy about anyway, so it isn't a huge deal.
