Are macros in Joy2Key allowed ? I would like to bind a key on my controller to trigger pause buffer, is this allowed ? I don't want to cheat if it's not :/

It is allowed, have fun :)

Queensland, Australia

Only if it does 1 input so if it opens the pause menu and thats it, it is fine

So I can't just say JoyToKey to press jump then escape and escape by just pressing a button ?

No you can't, to be clear macros aren't allowed, you can rebind buttons around but you'll have to input the jump and the two pauses manually

By default, macros are banned in speedruns. You can find games having scripted categories (like Half-Life 2), however when two keys are bound with delay on the same key, it's banned in most cases.
