IS VC banned? If it's not, do some glitches not work on it? If so, which categories are unplayable on VC?

Just Curious. Sorry if my question is worded awkwardly

I think the general consensus is that there are no means for VC to be banned, however it does have faster loading zones than DS, and seeing as it has not been released in the US, it would kind suck for all the US runners if someone got a time on VC that was unbeatable on DS. On the other hand, the Wii U is exploitable now, so it is possible for US runners to load the European game onto their US Wii Us. My personal opinion in it is that I won't switch over unless I have to (if someone beats my times on VC and I can't really compete on DS). This is 1, because the camera controls on Wii U are awful, and 2, I don't want to force other runners to have to start using it to get WRs. If you want to start running on it then by all means do. There may be the occasional person that gets salty about it, but I think in general the community would be happy that it is getting more people into running the game. As for glitches, the only significant glitch that does not work on it is the glowing rabbit glitch. This will lose a fair bit of time in 150 star, however the faster loading times may make up for this, or at least come close to making up for it. It is also the EU version, which I am 99% sure has worse glowing rabbit RNG than both US versions. For all other categories it pretty much makes no difference though. There are a few smaller things that are different (100 1-up glitch doesn't work in WF, killing a goomba as metal wario only gives 1 coin instead of 2 etc) but these don't affect 80, 50, 8 or 1 star runs at all.

Does this mean emulator is now going to be compared to Wii U VC time or are the emulator runs still going to be shown separately?
