What’s a good time to start LBLJing in 16 star? I haven’t posted my PBs recently but the best one I had was a 21:12 and I had a run that was like 18:X pace or so but died to BLJ
Well, the best recorded time without LBLJ is a 15:52. So you can technically get a sub 16 without doing LBLJ. The WR with LBLJ is a 15:04. This would mean on average the LBLJ saves around 45 seconds. Regardless, I would recommend that you see how much you can push your 16 Star time down with what you’re doing based off of your standards first. Then, if you want to try and go for LBLJ, feel free.
My standards just keep bouncing up and down and I don’t know what time I wanna get before doing so. Originally I just wanted sub 20 before going to do other categories and coming back to do LBLJ but idk if I should bring it to sub 18 or sub 19.
Depends on how good you are with basement stars ... The reason LBLJ is faster is because basement has faster stars with certain strats and because there is less doors you have to open with stars. If you can do the basement stars fast enough that is when lblj starts being worth it. Some of the fast basement star strats are pretty hard, though (pillarless, red hot log rolling without wingcap, lavaboost ...).
you should probably start lbljing when you don't have any timesave left in the No-lblj route,as the trick isn't that easy to do.
the original category that allows lblj probably also gets like a lot more optimized than the category extension that doesnt allow it by top players, so i dont think the trick saves as much as the diference betwen the 2 categories WR lol

We would like to announce that VC and EMU subcategories are now active on the Stage RTA leaderboards (under "Levels"). Stage RTA involves collecting all the stars in a given stage including the 100 coin star. Timing starts on star select and ends upon collecting the final star. You are allowed to us
