Super Mario 64 16 Star Wii U VC Rule

Ok so the rule on the sm64 16 star VC page says that timing starts on reset, and for Wii VC reset occurs right away so there is no problem with that. But, on Wii U VC there are 2 parts to the reset. The yes/no text box and the actual reset. I have been told that timing starts when you press yes, which contradicts the rule stating "On Reset". I am saying this for both clarification and a possible rule update to state it more clear for Wii U runners. The reset on Wii U occurs AFTER the yes/no text box disappears, not when you press yes. So, is it really On Reset or when you press yes?

This isn't new at all, in fact it's really old. After the confusion yesterday, I updated the rules to be more clear. "On reset" was just shorthand for jrta timing (japanese RTA) which is what the game always used. Technically, if a Wii VC player resets from the menu they would time it the same way as Wii U (but I dunno why anyone would). See this for example:

Also, your runs wouldn't be rejected, just the times might be corrected.
