I was running doing the JRB star where you swim into the ship, and I turned around to go back after letting the eel leave before being teleported right to the ship. Was wondering if anyone knew what was up with it

It happened to me in my lets play aswell. Might be because the walls above the area where you warped to make you go down when you swim up and because of weird wall collisions you swam up and warped down
