I found a clip to get into dark world faster. I found it accidentally on a road trip to Florida with my family. It saves time in 70 star, 16 star no lblj, and 120 star no lblj. The setup is easy, you open the 8 star door around the center, and hold up notch, long jump, and do 2 dives, and hold Neutral after the second one and when you land on the falling platform, immediately push B, you should clip into the floor, and enter dark world faster.

this is a commenly known downwarp yeah, it isn't really done because it's pixel perfect and opening the door in the center just to try this setup is not worth the small change you hit it. In the video you made the way you got to the door (not counting the bonk) and the time you had to wait for the camera to normalize pretty much loses the same amount off time as you save doing it haha. Cool thing to find yourself though

This strategy is pretty stupid to use:

1. It's very inconsistent, except if you pause for about 1 second after entering the door, but then again it's not a timesave.

2. Pressing B while touching the trapdoor is unnecessary.

I have gotten it very consistently, and I do it in runs And it's not pixel perfect, as long as you open the door from the relative center you are lined up. I look at if Mario is lined up with the center row of squares at the beginning of the room

After school, If I have enough time, I will make an explanation video/video of me getting it like 10 times in a row or something because it's very consistent for me

it is a cool trick but it doesn't save time, unless you're TAS and you do it setupless (it's done in the 70 star TAS) it really doesn't save any time (I assume, I haven't actually done any research)
