loved this game when i was a kid playing on my cousins ps2. would love to run this game but apparently emulators are banned because of faster loader times? i cant be the only one who wants this so plz

As far as I know, PS2 emulators are not 100% accurate compared to console in terms of load times, lag, and other subtle differences. Many of those subtleties do add up (or subtract if it runs poorly) which leads to inconsistencies among runners.

With that in mind, I do think having emulator subcategories would be a good idea for those that can't run on console but that's up to the mods.

I'm not specifically a mod for this game, but I've been around the community long enough to know that emulator runs aren't going to be allowed, mainly for the reasons Akagitsune stated above. It's not even technically the issue of loads as much as it is that the Sly games emulate poorly on most computers, so it doesn't make sense to create a category for it.

Maybe we could figure out a way to allow Emulators up to a certain time? I know BFBB allows emulators up until 1hr 15m, and then afterwards you need to submit on a console. This could work for all parties, but i guess it would have to be discussed w/ the mods.

It would probably be a lot more runners if we do what crayons stated above.

The issue is not the loads but the ability to even run the game at consistent framerate on an ordinary computer. Speaking from personal experience, Sly 2 and 3 are the same way.
