The idea behind the strat is the main thing I wanted to point out TBH. The way the game works putting you to a fixed location when you fall OOB has always made this warp interesting for this drive.

I know of 4 or 5 consistent ways to fall out of bounds but most are with late game items so not viable for this mission.
The 2 that are theoretically possible are the floating bike method, which is inconsistent and the Safeword arch door warp which we used to use to get to mayhem but for some reasons it is not possible to use it in this mission.

The long and short is if we could find a quick way OOB, which I am sure will exist, there is a free min to save on this drive.

This is what I mean from 1 min on but start is example of the issue with the strat

It there is a way to consistently stay on the floating bike as it falls it would be a time save over the drive to Angel's location in return to Steelport.

You would play as normal until carts are destroyed then drive to floating bike location, get on it and fall through the world and respawn about 400 meters away from the Gym and continue as normal.

A few more minor strats

In http: restarting the mission from checkpoint just before you jump on the back will skip the mashing part. Literally a couple of seconds saved.

If the getting the heli from Penthouse route is quicker to MNICT then you may as well go to the park and take the Condor.

Also using the Spector in Zombie attack is slightly quicker than oppressor

A possible time save for Gangbang, will need testing and optimizing. I am on console so loading and general game play is slower than PC and I am rusty as hell playing but I am faster than ditto's PB so has potential. The main thing that needs to be tested is where to drop the Condor where it can be picked up quickly and not be despawned.

The strat as follows;

Play the mission as normal until the checkpoint just before Oleg needs to be revived.
Get in the Condor that flies over and when that checkpoint flashes up restart mission from checkpoint. When you restart the Condor will be parked on the roof.
Revive Oleg, then get in said Condor which is now full operational and fly to an elevation that will allow you to parachute out and still land back on the roof letting the Condor fall onto the road below (This can be done in the time waiting for Voila to open the Elevator so no time loss)
Get in the elevator and instead of taking the Peacemaker take the Condor.

There isn't too much to learn since you last played. A few mission order differences and slightly different place to buy weapons with the reduced weapon price trick. Sub 3:40 RT is pretty free and you could get close to 3:30 with good car RNG.

Here is a lot of the notes I have made on SR3, alongside all other saints row games. There is currently no runs that have used the most up to date route which is around 6mins quicker than dittos run.

Both players would have to show they achieved 100%.

The boards are single segment boards so any form of segmented runs would not be allow. The advantage of running segmented , even if you only try each segment once, is massive and various.

This is an open and shut no because of the advantages there are. Though I personally am a fan of segmented runs so would not oppose separate categories if the demand and competition is there.

I have watched your runs @ASmallPotato and have seen that you do not use the void route.

Is there a reason you don't go that route? In my experience that is the faster strat even over the shortened game play.

Look forward to seeing more runs from you good to see some new interest in SR runs.

How would you be running with 3 people?

The answer to this would dictate on how we would go on whether we would add and new category , leave it in co-op or not accept the run at all.

If the run has been done I'll post the category later when I finish work. It will start as a misc category until more runs are done. BTW what was the time?

Thread: FYI for Co-Op there should be some timer leeway

Started by: BnH247BnH247

Sorry for the delayed response, I read this a few days ago and took time to consider both the issue and how to reply. This is not a final response on the subject it is open for discussion and input from others.

Like you said the co-op bugs are both well known and a consistent issue with no know way to completely combat them.

With that being said subtracting time from a RTA is something that I am generally against and though crashes or infinite loads can be seen as a valid enough reason to do so the issue comes when someone takes advantage or abuses the timer being allowed to be paused.

The best thing to do in the short term would be to keep the timer running and submit the time with crashes then also submit the IGT, which would be corrected for the true game play time, and in the comment highlight the crash timestamps and give the time minus the crash time total.

I was testing the possibility of using the barrier break to get out of the mall in US Rounds Square Shopping Centre. It is possible to do it and with some refinement it may be quicker, but I have doubts, I'll keep messing with it the issue is where you end up after falling OOB depends on where you bust through the wall. I need to find the right combination of where to do it that is close and put you in the correct place.

A new minor skip I found in Aisha's Favor; you can skip the car following section by simply driving to where the car goes and not getting in range of the car you have to follow.

Basically drive to the warehouse without going near the car you have to follow you will trigger the cutscene when you get into the place where his car ends triggering it.

Just a few thoughts, somewhat directed at Noz, to start a idea exchange about the route.

For me the optimal start is:
Canonized - Back to Basics – then get tattoos to hit the 10% before any activities are done. The first activity I would do is red-light district snatch to get the reward and hit the max 15% possible after. From there it opens up more options.

Your tags route increases in value with the 15% and has the potential to save a lot of time if there is enough that are quick enough, that gain enough respect to remove part of or all of an activity.

Dex’s raycaster is a perfect match for the required chop shop delivery 1200 base respect and 15%extras 180
