Hello, I am very new to speedrunning and am going to be doing my first speedrun on Sekiro. Where can I find the specific rules for the game. And also if there is a place I can find general rules for speedrunning, a link would be greatly appreciated, as I cant seem to find anything definite. I downloaded LiveSplit and OBS and have configured them as such. This would be greatly appreciated.
Here is everything you need https://discord.gg/NmmTVm (the link is only available for one day, in case you miss it just google sekiro speedrun discord)
If the Discord is what you need, most leaderboards that have a Discord community have it linked on the side bar under the game stuff. Leaderboard Guides DISCORD Website/Wiki Streams etc
The fact that Limited Skips bans Horse skip which is less OOB than Bull skip (which it allows) is bullshit.
@the_kovic You might want to discuss this in the discord, not here, also it was an community vote. If people want it to be banned we might have a vote on it again
In Livesplit - Edit Splits - enter Game Name "Sekiro" (pick Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice) - it should activate below. "Game time, auto-start and several QOL improvements."
You know it worked when it says "Deactivate" next to that. Remember to use Game Time and not Real Time or the auto-start won't work. It also automatically stops when you finish the game.
No.
"All game modifications (including cosmetic changes) are banned except the mods directly integrated into the Sekiro LiveSplit plugin (fixes IGT and removes startup logos and tutorial popups). Do not use standalone versions of the integrated mods, only use them as provided through LiveSplit."
I explained to you step by step how to do it bro. It happens automatically when you follow my given steps succesfully.
You also cannot speedrun on 1.05 as of now, so if you updated the game you will need to downgrade it for LiveSplit to work. It works with all other versions as far as I know, but 1.02 and 1.04 are the ones usually used in runs. You can see the version of your game in the main menu on the lower right corner of the screen.
If you need to downgrade your game check the Resources Tab on the lefthand side of this exact site.
Hope this helps. GL
We've recently made the decision to allow Borderless Gaming for the foreseeable future.
Borderless Gaming allows the game to run in borderless windowed mode, which enables you to more easily switch between programs on your PC without it freezing. It also allows you to have LiveSplit sit on top of
