Re-Structuring Of The SOT Speed Run Page - Ideas / Catagories

Hey All just writing this in a attempt to reach the modarator for the SOT speed Runs.

I would like to suggest that the sea of thieve speed running page be re structured and more categories added to best fit some of the speed runs I have seen from the rankins so far on the page.

My number one example would have to be the current 1st place position for the 100%Athena run. This run is infact a Gilded Athena a variant on a normal Athena quest as it was a time limited special event (during christmas last year I believe[2018]) and have their own “mechanics” all together with how the quest gives you not many islands compared to a regular + Roar Athena, also the gilded Athenas are typically faster than any other athena quests With that being said I believe that run being a gilded should be under its own category to be fair to those running normal + roar athenas as I am sure gilded Athenas could make another appearance for any other special events the devs released. That being said I have read previous forum posts about this being a thing so any developments on that?

On the subject of alternative categories another suggestion would be to split the categories to clearly define which was an Athena quest and which were Devils Roar Athena's - just a suggestion. Also reading some previous forum posts someone suggested adding categories for Tall Tails? They are a permanent feature to the game so would be nice seeing categories for those added.

I would also be happy suggesting more ideas or even helping out if need be as I am keen to get more runs done and happy to help develop ideas!

Happy SpeedRunning and may your sails be eventful! -Danny

@Danny_DinoGamer Ahoy, thanks for the interest and the run. Fun run to watch, good job. Sparing you and the community boring details, I've had a lot going on and the page has fallen back a notch or two on my priorities, but I am creating a separate category for Guilded Athenas. It will be up in about an hour.

As for the Ashen runs, they will most likely never be their own category, as I believe (but can be persuaded otherwise) there are not enough contributing factors from either run, Ashen or standard Athena, to give either a consistent advantage. Lots of RNG on both, lots of luck needed, in true pirate fashion. Also, there must be a standard. If we start creating categories for Ashen runs and such, then we have to start considering solo runs, 2 man sloops, 2 man brigs., and so on and so forth. The possibilities are endless, or somewhere around 54... It's just too much, and with future content always "next month" essentially, we'll always be creating new categories and don't want to bite off more than we can chew. Right now there are almost as many categories as there are followers. Lets have fun filling those leaderboards.

As Narz pointed out the Tall Tales categories are up, and a few runs have already been submitted.

Well Danny, thanks again for all the support and happy sails. -Smooshie Booshie
