I'm new to speedrunning, and am practicing to run one of my favorite games of all time, SA2B. I'm watching videos and trying to figure out what exactly I need to practice, but something I'm not able to find help with is using livesplit accordingly. I have it all set up and pretty, with splits provided by you guys, but I don't know when I should be splitting and whatnot. If someone could direct me where to find more info on this stuff, that would be great. :3

I'm not aware of anywhere you can go to find information like this except here. I'll happily help you. The time you split generally doesn't matter, except for, of course, the first and last split. I'd recommend splitting when the stage gives you your rank and the noise plays for stages. For bosses, split when the screen fades to white. For the final split, you should split as soon as you get the last hit on Shadow, not when the victory animation plays.
