I can't stand playing this game with the small input lag since i'm so used to playing on GC. Is there a way to disable it somehow or does everyone get used to it after a while?

I'm afraid that you are not able to reduce input delay with this method. Make sure you're not using a front panel USB or try using a different USB port or even a USB 3.0 port. I also believe that running the game in fullscreen will help with frame rate and input delay.
