Sorry for taking a while.
The most recent thing that I done (Unlocking 'All Star' Series) was played and recorded on a HDD. But I am fairly certain that I done some recording of the game on a SSD with some of my earlier stuff (Any%, Joyride, All Hidden Packages) (some of the files were moved onto another drive)
As for PC specs, this is what I got:
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.70GHz
Installed Memory: 16.0GB
I can't answer that question atm. Maybe in a couple of hours
Hey TheSkatingGelemb. I assume you are talking about the PC version. To be 100% honest, I don't recall doing anything to my PC. Maybe lowering in-game video setting might help a little bit. Also try playing the game with not as many other programs running. In the end, I guess it's mainly has to do with your PC specs, sadly. Sorry
Ummm.... Firstly, in order to unlock all cars, you need to get Burnout License; which is above A license.
And secondly, for speedrunning in general, most categories for speedrunning would be New Game, or New Save File as default, unless stated otherwise (NG+).
So to answer your question, a new game.
I'm pretty sure that's not meant to be there. It's a RTA run. Should just be video.
Third place has the time show in the game as well.
Honestly. There is no need for a category for that, as no one will run it because it has three of the worst fucking levels in the game. Nobody would want to torture themselves with these levels. Unless they're practicing for 100%
I'm pretty sure Redlof's any% run uses mission dupes.
Splits are now in resources.
Hey. That would be good for some eliminator races.
With one round eliminator events, this would be easy to do as you just have to come 3rd.
With more than one round eliminator events, the way you can do this is to keep track of the top 2 drivers in the first round, and in the next round make sure they finish in the top 2. That way, you would be 3rd with 12 points (for 2 round eliminators) and everyone else behind wouldn't have more than 10 points.
For the any% route. Here's what I got:
Pro Series - All events except for Domination in Miami. This is the only 2 rounded event in the Pro series You would be spending more than 3 minutes just racing on both tracks, + extra time between each round. You would save about 30-40 seconds by not doing this event.
All-Star Series - All events except one of the 8 Ball events. Both of these events would take more than 5 minutes to complete and can make you easily lose time as the chances of crashing into other cars are high. It depends on which track(s) you prefer to drive on (for me, I prefer to race on Yokohama rather than Nevada).
Champion Series - All events except Race Off in Tokyo. This event takes the most amount of time in the series by a whole minute. Each lap for the forwards and reverse tracks takes a minute to complete with a Zenden Cup. There is a Domination event in this series that uses the same two tracks, however, you would be experiencing less interruptions from other drivers because they don't catch up as much in a domination event.
Legend Series - All events except Race Off in Tokyo. This is the longest event in the game. It will take about 13 minutes of racing time + time in between each of the 3 rounds. You would be wasting 2 minutes by completing this event.
Side Note: I have had bad experience with the Nevada 8 ball event in the Legend Series as it is a serious run killer. It is easy for you to get hit in this event, so be cautious when doing this event.
Cars to use: Race Group - Jackson Adventurer for the first race, then purchase Zenden Cup when it's available. When purchased, upgrade only Power and Handling.
Demolition Group - Jupiter Del Rio, later purchase Lafayette Eulogy (For some reason, this works much better than the Holbrook Growler in Rampage and Knockout events). Upgrade every stat on the car.
Hoonigan Group - Subaru Impreza WRX STI GD for all events (Other fast cars such as Saturn Sky would be useful for race and time events such as Head 2 Head and Smash Hunter. However, by the time it's available, there would be no H2H and SH events to do).
Hope this helps. :)
Okay, I got it working! I tried a different method and manage to successfully complete it.
EDIT: After playing around with it I decided to try and do paramedic duping. Has anyone had issues completing the duped paramedic missions? Because lvl 7 is too ridiculous for me.
Has anyone had any success of duping on a PSP emulator of this game (PPSSPP, etc)? Every time I tried the emulator crashes.
If there are any suggestions for categories that you would like to see, post them here.
