Hi everyone,
I'm a solo dev currently working on DualVerse86, a 2D retro-futuristic parkour game built around precision, fast movement, and routing. The core mechanic is that you can instantly switch between two parallel worlds,each with its own platforms and paths to find the fastest way to the exit.
There’s no combat, just movement and timing.The whole design is focused on clean level flow and speedrun potential.
I’m aiming to release a short demo in about a month, around the end of August, just in time for the back-to-school season. Before that, I’d love to hear from actual speedrunners:
- Does this kind of mechanic sound interesting for speedrunning?
- What do you personally look for in a game that’s fun to route or optimize?
