category extension idea
The idea of different categories for each character has been brought up, but the reason we have Mario% is because Mario is just overall bad. Slow, mediocre jump, etc. Toad% would literally just be Any% for 50% of the levels with how much he is already used.

Yeah because his speed and lower jumps are actually helpful for some parts of the run
