The main forums are here; this is where a lot of the discussion happens. Also the metroid2002 site, while quite outdated, has videos of many of the more common tricks and speed techniques.

You can find links to the Twitch and Youtube profiles of all the top runners by visiting the Google Docs version of the leaderboards and going to the "Rankings" page.

Additionally, Kirbymastah recorded a Metroid Prime Any% Beginners Route video which skips many of the more difficult tricks.

Metroid Prime really does need a better guide for inexperienced players though. There is a ton of undocumented knowledge.
