Im thinking of speedrunning a sonic game bt since im new to this speedrunning thing im no sure which game to start with.

Start with any game you know well. If you want my recommendations, I'd say Hollow Knight and maybe Super Mario Odyssey are fun to run. If you haven't played them, I'd say beat them first before you try to run them.
