Recently, there was a discovery that shaved off 6 minutes for Any%, which let you warp to the 4th level of the 4th world at any point in the game. Nothing was done to the boards to represent this massive discovery, until just a few hours ago. Sick! Any% has now been split into two categories, "Any% No 4-4 Warp" and just "Any%".

Game rules have also been updated to adjust for some more recent discoveries as well, like with only using one save file as this game can leak over information from another save file if you decide to play on it. All runs also require the use of a GBA BIOS if you're playing on emulator, since without it, resets aren't accurate to console. This doesn't seem like much, but the new 4-4 warp discovery is very crash prone, and would be uncomparable to people on real hardware if they decide to play on that and miss the trick. Runs prior to today are grandfathered in and won't be removed.
