Any% All Characters category

While doing my shitty 100% run last night, Sakurion posed me the idea of racing Risk of Rain soon. When deciding the category, he thought up Any% All Characters. Could this possibly get added as a category? It would be a long run but atleast it would be shorter than 100% Both me and him are racing it soon, so the category wouldn't be empty.

Rules would be similar to the regular Any% category: Fastest completion on all characters, Rainstorm difficulty, any patch that has every character. Timing in RTA. You can Exit to Main Menu after defeating Providence and activating the terminal. Timing ends when you activate the terminal on the final character.

Sidenote: Hopefully we can get others in this race. If there's enough interest I'll post the date and time we're gonna race it so others can participate with us. Just know that it could potentially take several hours.

Rule-Edit: You can play the characters in any order.

Yeah forgot to mention that. Character order doesn't matter, as long as all characters activate the terminal after Providence.

I might be tempted to join the race.

But the game has enough categories as is, I'm not going to bloat the leaderboard further with arbitrary categories unless they actually get enough competition to warrant it.

Alright boys, you heard the judge. Time to get a big Any% All Characters race going.

I'll post details in a new forum post dedicated to the race whenever Sakurion and I figure them out. It'll probably be sometime in the morning for US and afternoon for Europe, so that everyone has a chance to finish. Potentially next weekend.

this category actually interests me, might be down

I did a practice run of the category. I ignored two characters dying on Providence as if they were successful, for the sake of timing, and finished in 3 hours, 15 minutes. So go by the assumption that that's the least amount of time it could take. 4 hours is more likely.

3 1/2 hours is what I'm aiming for, but if I'm under 4 hours I'll be happy. So much can go wrong during a run like this, anyone who's iffy at some characters can maybe estimate 5 hours.

Also if anyone wants splits+layout for this category for LiveSplit, I'm in the process of making it. Just message me on Twitch. Should be done later today.

Late edit: I recently bought a Mumble server if anyone wants to chat it up during the race. The details will be in the race details post.
