//I'm still working on this guild, just saving it for later revision//

This guide will act as a general one for speedrunning the game. Just to let you know, I only have the Wii version of the first game, so tell me if I got something wrong that is different on other versions of the game.

The moment you select your difficulty after creating your band you should mash the green button (A,X on other controllers) in order to go straight to the next song without menu-ing. When that song has been finished and you hit next song/continue the menu will auto-highlight the next song on the list for that act. Once an act is complete just mash that button again to get those messages away and go to the next song. You can keep doing this, even the final one. You'll know it's the last one due to how it's Green Grass & High Tides, and that it will say that you've beaten the game, then credits.

For doing a FGFC, I recommend that you pick the fastest/easiest songs first, then work your way up. This will differ between players (or group if doing it with mutable players, and the instrument being set to multi). Keep track of the songs you've FC'd and ones you have left. The Wii, and PAL versions of the game adds new songs to the disc due to them being released later than the Xbox, and PS3 versions. You don't have to do those Wii exclusive songs if you don't want to. When posting a FGFC run you can say if you're doing the Wii only songs or not. This is to keep the leaderboard fair on the category.

Last, the Fail run. For this I recommend that for the first try when going to a song that you pause and start the timer when you hit reset, and confirm since this will pass the loading screen for the song due to it already being loaded. Same thing can be done when you're on any other attempt that didn't start on the song select screen.

Timing Change for Tour mode runs

I have decided to change when the timer starts for Singleplayer/Band Tour categories. The timer will now start when you've selected the difficulty after creating your band (on Xbox 360/PS3). Since the Wii/PS2 versions doesn't have the character creation, it will just go to the difficulty select, whi
