is Alt+F4 allowed? you can alt+f4 to skip the ceremonies which saves upwards of 13ish seconds at the end of each cup, saving (almost) 40 seconds for all cups, and depending on route 50 seconds for 100%

Czech Republic

Can't speak for this community, but Alt+F4 tricks are widely accepted among other speedrunning communities.

Hm, that's an interesting question. Don't you need to reload the game, after doing that? Even with -nointro and -sload, that might cost a lot of time on slower pc's, and is probably different between systems.

The best thing to do when it comes to loading screens would be just subtract loading times from the final time so that way loading differences don't matter

Italy

If I recall correctly, you can't alt+f4 out of the game because the game won't save the data. Yes, it would save time (alt+f4 and reopening the game would be quicker than waiting 20 seconds), but the game doesn't save the progress if it's not exited normally through the quit button in the frontend.

Ah, right! I forgot about that.

Turns out that alt+f4 actually works. I'll clarify the rules a bit when I get the time, but it can already be used (rip consoles, I guess putting Re-Volt and RVGL in 2 different categories would be the best choice imo)

Hm, interesting. What do you think about my concern raised?

Italy

For now, runs are recorded with the loading times included, alt+f4 trick is still allowed. I'll eventually find a way to get livesplit to automatically pause when detecting a loading screen.

Yeah I agree with what Vas0sky said, consoles are inevitably slower than RVGL anyway so putting them in separate categories would be nice.

Hm, okay. I guess this is an issue that often occurs with modern pc speedrunning.
