I mean, I'm ok if at least there was like 2 people competing but why if there's not even a single run and an empty category all of the sudden?
khomchik submitted a new game easy run which was in the category but i guess he removed it, so whoever verified it also made the category i guess
Yes, I have removed because there is no difference between the easy and normal modes for speedrun I think.
There's barely any difference, I tried it too and didn't see anything that could make it more convenient to run than Normal.
I ran it the other day as well and uploaded a video to youtube to submit if it was going to be a new category. I doubt anything changes RNG wise, but it seemed as if I took less damage from the enemies perhaps, but would need to test it more. I planned on doing that soon anyways since I needed to finish testing the S rank stuff as well. I Leave it up to the mods of course to decide what is best though
I created the Easy directory. I actually had no idea that people would be worried about it, but I created it because Khomchik's run did indeed take less damage from enemies and there were no other Easy mode runs. It didn't feel right to just reject it on principle without a discussion first.
It's alright then. The thing is, when I got to see the category it was all empty (Khomchik deleted his run apparently) so it made no sense at all to have that up there without a single run.
After further testing I discovered quite a few differences between the two difficulties as well. Enemies seem to have less hp, Ark takes less damage from all Enemies, He starts with two fas, the rng in many areas does change: Always dogs in prison courtyard, lickers in first umbrella, one hunter at cable car, room full of zombies at second umbrella. Just a few differences that I've found to be consistent through testing.

Well I have continued to test easy for the past few weeks and I was hoodwinked a bit in the sense that the RNG pattern does change, but not in the way I described above. The Probability distribution shifts towards dogs, in 25 attempts it was dogs 23 times and Hunters 2 times. I still got Lickers in first Umbrella every time. One Hunter 24 times and Two Hunters once. Same with the zombie room it shifts the distribution over quite a bit.
