In-Game Clock On Duckstation and Mednafen/Beetle PSX

So a typical Jill/Best Ending/No Damage/No Save run is around 1:20:00 on PCSX ReARmed but it'll be like 1:35:00 if I do the same exact run and everything on Duckstation or Mednafen (Retroarch cores included). Anyone know why? The game itself plays exactly the same except there's longer loading times between doors and black screens. I'll arrive in the dining room with Jill and Barry at around 0:01:19 on PCSX ReArmed but it'll be at around 0:01:27 on either of those. I'm using the same BIOS too. Thanks.

I don't know the exact technical details behind it but I think PCSX ReArmed emulates close to PSP speeds whereas Duckstation and Mednafen emulates PS1. All those black screens and extra loads add to the IGT on the console version of RE1.

That makes sense looking at the leaderboards. The top run for Jill Best Ending is almost 11 minutes longer for Duckstation than Legacy. Thanks.
