I also posted this under the guides section :

This is a series of videos to help speedrun this game in the most optimized way that was found so far.

A lot of those tricks were discovered way back when by Trevor Seguin (see other guides for his segmented speedrun on the GC which is still very relevant to this day).

A special thanks to Sshplur for sharing some of those tricks with me.

Only 2 videos completed so far, but I promise I will make more within the next month once I find more time. I've been wanting to do this for a long time now, mainly because I noticed even the top speedrunners of this game don't do some of those tricks that have been found years ago now (including optimized movements in menu, which I will be doing as soon as I find more time to do those videos, I promise).

Just a hint for you, if you want somebody to take several hours of their time to create something to help you out, maybe don't give them an attitude, it might actually have the reverse effect.

trashman no offense but that type of language is unacceptable first off it takes alot of time creating and making a tutorial on using strats dodges etc its arrogant of you to come in here and put that message alot of us are busy work college or whatever when any runner is free to do a tutorial they will in the meantime we have runs to do tests to do (strats) in this case i think you should apologise because that kind of comment is unacceptable or if you dont want to apologise thats fine i would like to see you do all these strats and tutorials and put them on the boards.

Sorry for being inconsiderate, I never really meant to be hurtful. You're right in that making a comment like that does no good and that sometimes your life gets caught up in more important things.

I guess while I have all this attention on me I might as well ask a question. How do you guys mash for stair skating? I have a very strong feeling just using your thumb isn't very efficient, and I've also seen carcinogen do something else. He seemed to keep his index finger and thumb together while basically moving his entire forearm to mash.

I use the vibrate method which is where you tighten up the muscle on your forearm and hover your index finger, thumb or both above the button you're trying to mash. It's the most common and ideal way to button mash at the cost of arthritis. Kappa

An example of what I'm talking which I'm sure you're familiar with especially if you've seen Carci's video on stairskating and stuff.

I have to ground the controller on my lap to keep it stable when mashing with my thumb since that's how I've developed my technique for rapid inputs growing up. Some people can button mash quickly without having the controller on any surface like RawDerps. The best advice I can give is find what works best for yourself and keep practicing!

Oh, and keep in mind that in this video in particular which is played on the PC version allows you to break the 30 FPS threshold, so the stair skating looks much more smoother creating a glide effect on 60 FPS and variable. It looks staggered on console since it's capped at 30, so even if you're able to mash at high rates most of the inputs wouldn't register.

Tips for the Lisa Trevor fight. It's not a difficult one to figure out but new players might find this helpful particularly the pretty reliable alternate strategy.

Man, you guys should unsticky this post! All I did in the end was 2 lame short videos! >_>

Maybe now that I'm playing the randomizer, I'll try to take the time to make those couple more videos that I had planned. >_<

I was wondering what happened here. Figured that they were deleted or something. Turns out it was all just a dream. Lol
