Basic guide (how to move faster, discovered shortcuts, tricks, bugs, etc)

¤ How to move faster
By pressing the block/parry button right near the end of the dodge/roll animation you are able to cancel the landing recovery animation, and be able to quickly roll again. This is extremely useful for moving around quickly and is way faster than just walking or rolling normally.

¤ Cancelling attack animations
Similarly with dodging, pressing block during attack animations enables you to cancel the animation straight into a block. This is useful for slow-hitting weapons, and is crucial for defeating the last boss in one swift combo (I didn't manage to do it in my run here, but I was able to do it while practicing).

¤ Big zombie/mutant throw bug
Later in the game, you will start encountering these strange zombie/mutant creatures. One of these is very similar to the Tank-type zombie from L4D. One of the moves this enemy type has is a throw, which is usually pretty bad to get hit by, but there is an interesting bug where they can throw you inside areas that you are supposed to unlock by holding a button near a switch. You can do this to bypass having to activate switches and get inside elevators quickly. It is very finicky to do though, as it is a crapshoot to tell if and/or when they are going to throw you or not.

¤ Ignore enemies whenever possible
It is very rare to have a moment when you actually have to kill all enemies to progress. Usually you only have to activate a switch or kill just the enemies in a specific area to progress (an example of this is at the end of the 2nd level where you only have to kill the enemies that are already near the dying monk).

¤ Restart to avoid excessive enemies following you
Whenever you go through a checkpoint it is usually a pretty good idea to immediately restart so you can continue the level normally without copious amounts of enemies surrounding you.

¤ Level 5 shortcut
You can skip a good part of the fifth level by walking over the rocks right behind you when you start the level. It is a good idea to get the axe and the weapon from the guard before you do this however, as the axe is very useful for killing the level boss faster and easier. You should drop the axe at the arena where enemies keep spawning and just use the guns or the other melee weapons, as you want to preserve the axe for the boss.

¤ Dropping your melee weapons
One good thing that you can do is dropping a weapon. To drop a weapon to the floor, just simply press Down on the D-pad. This is useful for the situation like the one with the axe previously mentioned above. You can then pick up the weapon you dropped whenever you want.

¤ Level 16 flame glitch
This is more of a warning than anything, but at least at the time of writing this guide, there is a visual glitch that happens if you have the visual quality of the game on Medium or lower during the last level of the game. There is a set of flames that appear from the ground that you will not be able to see lower visual configs.
