NOTE: The glitch only works on longer transitions, which can sometimes be all of them (such as the current World Record by diabeticdale, I think it's because of the phone working slower but you can prove me wrong), but otherwise, level transitions only occur when entering the next level while the medal counter is moving and you just got a medal (done by picking up a star or killing an enemy just before clearing the level).

The glitch is only allowed for Full Game and Full World GLITCHED runs, meaning it can't be used in Glitched Individual Levels or any Glitchless category.

The current main use is in levels 14-15, where you can save around 40 seconds by completely bypassing the boss level and making the transition appear after completing level 14.

To make the glitch work, you must pause the game after completing a level. Because the pause button does not work after you've completed a level, you must exit and reopen the game, which can be done very quick by pressing the "Recent" button (the square-shaped or triple line one) next to the "Home" button and the "Back" button. After that, return to the game and if you didn't pause the game too late, you should be on the "Pause" screen. I also recommend trying to pause the game as late as possible to get a better chance at getting the glitch, but not too late so the next level isn't loaded.

After that, turn on the music and restart the level. There are now multiple things that can happen.

Possibility 1: You restarted the level and everything still feels normal and the normal platforming music based on your current World is still playing. That means the game was paused too early and the boss level didn't load after the reset.

Possibility 2: You restarted the level and you were brought to the level you were trying to skip. This means you didn't collect the star / kill an enemy fast enough to get a long transition, thus the trick failed.

Possibility 3: You restarted the level and the music stopped completely, even though your music in the settings is on. You have just seen the rare occurance of "Freeze Glitch" and your run is dead. Completing the resetted level will freeze the game and pressing the pause button will also freeze the game. Restart the app and try again.

And finally, Possibility 4: You restarted the level and you saw a flash of the next level for a very short moment. The glitch was succesful. DO NOT PAUSE THE GAME, THE GAME WILL FREEZE. However, if you complete the restarted level again, you should skip the next level, the level that flashed for a very short bit. However, ALL YOUR SPEED WILL BE REMOVED. If the skipped level is the boss level, the "Boss Defeat" animation will play, without you actually killing the boss.

This glitch must also be used in Low% Glitched Green Hills on Category Extensions to get no kills in the boss stage, but you still need to get 2 stars and kill 1 enemy for a bronze medal to get the long transition.
