I had my most recent speed run rejected for saving after each chapter (something I do to help keep track of time) but when I look through the rules it doesn't say I can't save throughout my run. I record and upload all in a single segment so I don't see why it would be an issue to do so. As the rules state: "-Complete the game starting with a New Game+ file in the "Load" menu in a single segment. -All costumes are allowed. -Runs are ranked by in-game time. -Video proof of the entire run is required for world record times. -Picture proof is required for all other runs, requiring both the picture of the final results screen and the final typewriter save file. -Turbo controllers and macro inputs are prohibited. -Saving and quitting out to the menu and then reloading a save is prohibited." I don't see any reason why it should have been rejected as to get a time on the leaderboard (except for world record times) you only need picture proof of the final results and the final typewriter save. Is there a way that I am able to repeal my reject run?

The thing is that it's supposed to be single segmented runs, which means that You have to prove you did it all in one go. And by saving each chapter ,you can, if you wanna, reset and just restart the chapter you failed and that's prohibited in a single segment (What you do is called a multi segment if you want) A good way to keep track of time is by having a PC next to you with splits of each chapter (like Wsplit, or any other)

Edit: For example i started my runs on PS2 by doing the same as you, but i knew that i couldn't submit it, so i started with splits and did it in one go, let's say you are in a "training" mindset.

My apologies, MIKE__WAVE and I have been discussing this topic for a while now, even before you started doing runs! For us to verify runs, we check the start (to see which difficulty/save file for NG+ is used), and the end typewriter save to verify that the run is single segment. I forgot that we have not gotten around to officially hash out this new "rule" that we are implementing, so I should not have rejected your previous run. Go ahead and resubmit it and I'll verify it!

In the near future, all runs should only have 1 save, and that is the final typewriter after beating the game. I suggest using LiveSplit on the side for your benefit, or you can manually timestamp your end of chapters as well. Don't forget that going into any typewriter (that is not the final typewriter) counts towards your IGT, so not going into them at the end of the chapter will make your IGT faster overall!
