FPS from my understanding of doing various tests does not directly affect the amount of damage you deal.

However, it does cause issues with inputs. At 120FPS u have effectively double the input window, which translates to faster reloads, weapon swaps etc. This is what will start causing an issue damage wise at 60FPS as it will make everything your doing outside of shooting slower effectively.

I was wondering if the DoT damage from flame rounds was fps related. Or the counter knife attack. (was also wondering about Carlos and his knife attack. Since its a slice like RE2R.)

It always seemed like the higher the fps the higher damage in general. Thats only by eye though, No facts.

Many times after a certain number of fps, Many frames are duplicated. Since damage is FPS based, (It was only more noticeable with the knife due to it being spread over many frames per attack.) Would duplicate frames = double damage.

Tick damage is interesting, it may be that higher fps increases the windows in which ticks can be detected and registered as damage by the game. I might test this out, but my belief is that the damage is consistent.

Carlos knife slashes do not have added hit detection based on knife (you can tell this without the SRT because you can hear only 1 hit register per a swing).

Jills perfect dodges into knife swipes, while I’m not well versed in knife only, I did mess around a little bit with this mechanic. From what I could conclude is that these seem to be affected by fps, I could definitely hear more hit counters, and the amount of blood from the enemy was far more than normal. Though I have only done this at 120 so I can’t say if it’s the same or not at lower fps.
