@CursedToast samurai edge isn’t required, you could just use the G18/19 and a coin or 2.
My issue with this is that technically that makes it NG+ with a lot of ppl I have spoken to want it to be NG
Also, while it does make deathless possible, it removes any real challenge from this, which I think is the reason why people want to do this as a category.
@kniferun The difference is that the knife would be being used “offensively”, while in knife only they never shoot the gun, just skate with it. Of course if the mods approve I have no issue with the knife being allowed to break boxes. It would definitely tighten up the route
Personally I think Assisted - should be no shop, no ng+, no magnum and no G18
Standard - if the DA manip isn’t allowed should be infinite samurai edge for CT nemmy only and G18 allowed
Hardcore and Inferno - Infinite samurai edge and use of some coins only
I don’t think knife should not be used for crates myself. It doesn’t effect assisted bullet count at all and on standard you have infinite samurai edge for CT nemmy so more than enough bullets for the rest of the game
Me thinking its okay to use a knife in a handgun only run makes me a hypocrite As I would never use the handgun in re2r knife only run because I was hugely against it.
And assisted should be g19 only, no upgrades, no g18(outside of carlos.
And anything above stardard should be ng+.
Agreed, assisted should be the stock gun only with no NG+ items. Fair points on a bit of the challenge being removed using any of the NG+ items in Standard though, even if I hate the idea of purposefully dying so many times for CT Nemmy/Jill Defense.
Good to know that only the assault coin(s) are needed though. The edge + coin combo always seemed really OP.
Yeh I feel ya about the deaths, I didn’t want to have to do that but every run dies to Nest 2 Hunters if you do 0 deaths, so I’d rather take the 8 to bridge nemmy and classify any run where you don’t die more than that a 0 death run, which is still a challenge in itself as my 16 deaths to hunters would prove...
Well in between standard attempts Ima run assisted for a breather( more of a speedrun oriented run than that of standard that is more of a challenge run).
With the 2 packs of handgun I didnt pick up in my latest deathless run that hit a wall at the hunters in nest2 due to lack of ammo. I should have enough to get past them now, I ran out on the 3rd hunter. (If I get there with the same as last time + the 30.) Nemmy 3 is still a toss up though. I know theres ammo in the fight, not sure how much. I dont think theres any ammo on the way to the fight. This has me iffy on another standard attempt atm.
@kniferun iirc there is two lots of gunpowder behind the zombies that break out before Fuse 2 too, they might be helpful, but sitting at about max DA I doubt you’re gonna have enough ammo to get through phase 1 of acid Nemmy, let alone have ammo to shoot the towers + nemmys heart (acid does 20% per so my understanding is you need to do over 40% to acid Nemmy to have the fastest fight)
Handgun Only without magnum and shop items: Would be sub 1:20 if i didn't die in RPD
@SpeedIdol nice man, the tech to get the moderator opened my eyes, I’m gonna lab this a bit, see exactly how much extra damage is being dealt. Obviously it’s worth the pick up, I’m just curious for the purpose of ammo optimisation
should try this myself gonna be hard to het handgun attachments tho (Defeat nem he drops a crate)
@kniferun i am gonna start labbing that real soon, a deathless run is guaranteed to be slower tho so as a speedrun if u want to be competitive ur gonna need to DA manip.

Tried Pistol only.. omg zombies kills you one bite then after reloading a few times perfected dodge..BUt the zombie ran so fast he kept up with my dodge
