Written instructions:

Edit your splits and change the game name to "Resident Evil 2 2019". A message should display below "Start Timer at:" that notifies you that auto splitting and load removal is available by CursedToast. Click the "Activate" button.

After activating the RE2 autosplitter, click "Settings". Place a checkmark next to every split you want to use.

Afterwards, create your splits/segments. Name them anything you want (just make sure you have one split for each checkmarked autosplit setting). Order them however you'd like.

Make sure you compare against Game Time.

Triple check the settings, Alfon_so. That definitely sounds like a split that's not checked.

Autosplitter has been updated to support the 2/15 update. You should receive the update upon restarting livesplit. Let me know if you have any issues with this update.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to support the CERO versions as I don't have a copy of them.

The base address of the memory positions must be different between CERO and the non-CERO versions with the 2/15 update. We probably "lucked out" with everything matching up for the initial release.

If anyone knows how I can get my hands on the CERO version outside of Japan (I don't want to do any Steam VPN stuff, ideally) I would be happy to give a go at finding the new address.

Alternatively, if someone with the CERO version has experience with finding memory pointers, I can hand off some information that would enable them to quickly find the new base addresses for CERO. From there, I would be happy to update the splitter to work with it.

@umedajapan - if you start your timer manually does it split for item pick ups? Alternatively, I just had an idea. Are you on discord?

Okay @umedajapan - I made an update to the splitter. I'm curious if it works for you now, if you could please test. Please wait about 5 minutes and restart LiveSplit.

Hi CursedToast, i need to start the autosplitter with "gameversion 1.0". I did it editing the init command "version = "2/20 Update";vars.inventoryPtr = 0x070B0840;break;" with version = "1.0", but I'd like to know which is the "clean" or "right" command.

Why are you wanting to go to 1.0? Your best bet is changing the switch statement . Uncomment out the commented code for default, and then just remove the current default. That'll stick you on 1.0

Yup. If you have the Steam release (as in you're not pirating it) try running Livesplit as an admin. The splitter should work just fine for legal copies of the game (not making any accusations to you personally, nor would I care, I just know it likely doesn't work with pirated copies and just want to get that out of the way for other people in the future)

Ok, i use smartsteamemu for the achievements and the cracked exe from CODEX that i think is the 1.0 version of the game.

Anyway with the edit of the pastebin link it works, i just wanted to know if is the "right command" or i have to delete something.

@westzone compare against game time to make the timer pause during cutscenes. There's not a split for G1 or G2 (there's a split for parking garage and saving ada/sherry though) -- double check your split settings for G3.
