Me and StevenMayte have been thinking about the layout of the leaderboards for awhile now and we would like to know everybody's inputs.
Right now all the categories for RE2 falls under the "Individual Level" style which looks frankly like a total mess.
PC, PlayStation (PS1/PS2/PS3), PlayStation (PSP/Vita/Emu), GameCube, N64, Dreamcast, GCN Emulator, these could all just be changed to Leon A, Leon B, Claire A, Claire B and then actually use the platform varible that already exists today (which doesn't serve a high purpose since the Playstation categories is the only ones we might use them for) to change the versions.
Changing it from IL to Full Game will however remove the very first page we always face when we enter this site, the all level/platform leaderboard. I'm not sure how people will feel about this since it displays all the WR's on one page but at the same time it doesnt show the rest of the players right after them. Plus we still got that slider on that page ever since the GameCube EMU got added. Please note that this will only apply for the main scenarios, Hunk/Tofu, Ex battles will still fall under IL and have the all level/platform leaderboard.
Now, I've already created a Full Game Leaderboard for all the 4 scenarios just to test some things, there are no runs there right now and the plan would be to migrate every single run individually from IL to the new leaderboard. I would gladly do this myself but Steven has offered to help me with it.
Another thing that will be changed is Normal Difficulty and Any% will be set as default so ranks will be in order from the start. Regions and Platforms cant be set to default in the settings for this site.
So yeah, go check out the Full Game Leaderboard test and let us know what you think =)

P.S mods needs to be more active on this site for this game.
I like this idea a lot since it'll keep things less cluttered and the console variable will have more usage in this state.
Full game would be a great idea. Most of the other games have migrated into a Full Game table.
Also, i think that a couple mods should be removed because they have not been on the site for 1/2.5 months. and be replaced with more active members of the community.
It sounds like a good idea to me if for no other reason than the new test layout appears to be much easier to navigate and filter.
Update: all runs have now been copy-pasted from IL to the Full Game Leaderboard. All that remains is double checking so everything is right, adding rules and then the removal of the main scenarios from IL as long as everybody feel conformable with the new system.
If a run gets submitted then I will add it to both leaderboards.
I've also tweeted Speedrun.com about adding a specific platform as default for the "All platforms" varible so only 1 system shows up (might save a few frames when reloading the page MVGame )
Play around with it and tell us if there are any problems.
i agree i like the idea of this for one thing it will make the boards alot cleaner and make it easier to navigate :)
Update: Added rules for Full Game and Ive now enabled milliseconds. As long as people just change the values for hour, minute and seconds then milliseconds .000 wont appear.
Now I will change the times for Hunk/Tofu so only 1 person has the WR and not 3 tied WR's.
For a game with only 4 main categories this looks much better. Great job!
So it's been 5 days now and not a single complaint or drama PogChamp The change even got people in RE1 and RE3 want to change theirs so people has had time to voice their opinion in this thread.
I've now triple checked the Full Game and IL boards so not a single run was forgotten or had the wrong time. I've deleted the main scenarios in the IL board so the migration is now complete.
I also need to tell you that you can't have a time for a specific console and the emulator of that console at the same time anymore. If you got a PB on EMU and then beat that time on the console it will overwrite it.
I've also deleted the Vita and PSTV versions cause I've havent seen anybody run them in years and we can just add it in the future if it has enough interest.
There is still a few things to clean up on the IL board like adding obvious rules (no inventory abuse for Hunk for example) and removal of some versions that doesnt even have Hunk or Ex Battles (Main scenarios will still be the same)
I honostly thought that this suggestion would have gotten alot of hate (can you blame me?) but I think we have made history.
