Is it possible to split wesker runs and billy new game plus runs? Different game types i think...I want to submit wesker runs and billy runs(in different categories) for xbox one^^ ...in 2016 LUL Kappa

While the "meme density" of this post might lead one to question whether Op is serious or not, I think splitting ng+ and wesker mode and also pc and console is an overall good idea. More categories are generally a good thing, since it makes runs more comparable, and makes people feel like special little flowers when they are ranked higher on a specific board, which might encourage new runners. At the moment 30fps billy runs and 120fps wesker runs compete in the same category, which gives off a somewhat wrong impression about the quality of console runs. Even though there aren't any game play related differences like stair skating in HD Remaster, a simliar setup of categories is probably a good approach

Well I am obviously talking about NG+, the only category that is barely alive, and these console runs are definitely good enough to warrant a seperate category. The one single NG console run is just a few days old, and I would have proposed the same idea even with just the 3 pc runs. A seperation of the NG category would then just a be a logical consequence of the NG+/wesker split. The whole argument about loading times is clearly faulted, since loading affects everything all the time, and no leaderboard in any game made these differentiations. We might even have to worry that hard drives differ between prodcution batches or so, and also every pc is different from each other, so by that logic we shouldn't even start comparing times/runs at all. The answer to complexity shouldn't be more simplicity, but an effort to bring at least some order. Also where is soviet's run, I can't see it on the GC leaderboard or his youtube. I might just watch it for fun at some point, even tho I don't think more competitive console runs should be a deciding factor over a category split.

so now we are at the point, where we have a ng+ hard mode category, which is, unless im missing something here, virtually identical to normal mode, since you arent affected by ammo or healing or enemy toughness anyway, and therefore superfluous. Meanwhile ng still has console and pc runs lumped together and we cant get a split between ng+ and wesker mode, which was the original purpose of this thread. and even though appreciate the new ng hard mode category, i think it became quite obvious that people are rather concerned with having "records" than having any logical consistency in the setup of this leaderboard, or the interests of other runners, which is indicated by the lack of responses this topic got in the first place. shoutouts to furrywulfz for having an opinion!
