So, you want to get the best time? Well, I’m here to help. Here are some ways that you can speed up your runs and maybe even get a record.
- Go in with a plan
Instead of wasting time constantly jumping into runs and constantly reattempting, look at some other runs and see what they do to devise a strategy. Every run is different and strategies can change depending on what biomes you’re in, the strength of the nations you want to take, and so much more.
- Use everything you know to speed up time
Any small features you know can hand you records. All time saving features help (forming lines instead of splitting, roads, etc.) and anything buffing your troops helps. (technology, specialization, generals, training, etc.)
- Experiment with your run
Try to find specific ways to optimize runs in your specific scenarios. For example, want to form Dutch Empire and Indonesia gets in your way? Navy! Find you can lure troops into mountains? Artillery and forts! Use everything at your disposal, even features you may think twice about.
- Be prepared to fail
If you want that number 1 spot, chances are you won’t get it first time, but even failed runs are a strong asset. See and compare what you did compared to faster times and implement those newfound strategies into your runs. Your times should get smaller and smaller until you get what you want.
- Don’t give up
You’ve heard these three words so many times, but they really help. You might just be a few optimizations away from getting that #1 title!
These are just 5 steps of many you can take. If you can’t seem to find a strategy, search YouTube. There is so much there and a lot more. To see some ways to use game features in detail, look at the Optimizing your run guide in our guides.
Happy running!
