The way I recommend getting the thousandth of a second to prevent confusion is to use VirtualDub. VirtualDub is an old program, so you're going to need a plugin in order to allow VirtualDub to open any video file.

I use mp4s or flvs, so in order to get them to work, I use the VirtualDub FFMPEG Input Plugin (https://bit.ly/2z8fY4f) in order to open any of them. Go frame by frame using the arrow keys.

This is also how I got my thousandth of a second in my runs.

I got what I was looking for. I just had to re-enter the game name in Edit Splits.

I’ve actually ran Nestopia on my computer and it crashed immediately. I even tried a different version of the software and yet it still crashed. I use BizHawk as it doesn’t make my computer run as hard FCEUX (I honestly don’t know why it won’t work.)

EDIT: My BizHawk emulator allows LUA scripts, so if an automatic timer is made, then please make it to allow the BizHawk software and for the software LiveSplit. Thanks!

So recently I have been interested in speedrunning this game, and I recently saw an automatic timer for FCEUX, and I wondered, is there an automatic timer for BizHawk instead?

The reason I ask this question is because FCEUX isn’t really for my computer (MAJOR input lag with slight lag every 5-10 secs)...and I don’t really time my splits well using LiveSplit (while using BizHawk).

If there is, can you send me a link to the script so I can apply it? Or is it that my emulator is not for LUA scripts?

I finally get what you meant, and yes, modding an SNES Classic isn’t official, so now I agree it should be taken off from the console listings.

NOTE IF YOU ARE CONFUSED: NES cartridges WILL NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT fit properly/be able to process, since NES games were only meant for it’s original hardware, not for other consoles. It’s like trying to a a Wii U disc in a SEGA Genesis 2400, like mentioned earlier, will not fit properly/be able to process, since it’s only meant to fit in its original hardware, not for other consoles.

That is true, but maybe they meant All Stars. That’s the only explanation I can come up with.

All Stars is a way to play it though, as mentioned in my last post. I think you mean that the game’s graphics are different, therefore it’s not the same game.

I believe what they meant is that Super Mario Bros. in All Stars (or what I like to call Super Mario Bros. Remastered) for the SNES is considered a way to play the game, and still considered a console that is allowed.

SNES just means the original hardware or bootleg systems, but still play the original/reproduction games.

SNESClassic means it HAS to be on the original hardware, and play on the original game, not a reproduction.

OK, those last two paragraphs are just my thinking and my opinion, not a moderators’ explanation.

Hi, I'm from Idaho of USA (as you can obviously see) and I was wondering how it is possible to get the thousandth decimal in your time of your submissions. I recently asked this question when I was watching darbian's 4:56.528 time for Super Mario Bros any% on YouTube.
