Georgia, USAI made a Full Fledged .hack//Series Speedrunning Discord in honor of the Last Recode Release. It has all the main series games plus Link, Versus, and even Fragments as potential speedruns to tackle.
Was Hoping with Last Recodes release there might be something to Kindle for the series in terms of Speedrunning.

I know I don't speak for Bertin but I don't think we should just add categories alla sudden like that. If someone else other than you and Proto suggested adding it saying they were gonna do it then there'd be more cause since there would be competition, but otherwise it's just a "Free WR" for you two since there'd be no one else doing it ya know? and at that point there's no real reason to have an LB for it.
In disregard to my opinion though I don't care if it's added or not. Heck I'll run it with my gf when we get a switch in a month and that right there is your competition.
do you think we could get new categories if someone ran them like plat% for PS4 or All Stories where you play all the main stories in succession rather than individual? I'm doing a playthrough of the game and it's safe to say I want to do a few runs. So I was curious if we could get any different categories besides the current ones available or no?
Elgato Game Capture HD should work just fine with PS3, you just have to use either component cables special to the Elgato or use an HDMI splitter to strip the HDCP. I used an Elgato for months before I upgraded to the LGX because I moved in with my GF who had one.
quite frankly we don't even need the elixir in the green room anyways, most people seem to skip it from what I've seen.
So basically what things are boiling down to is that things just seem to be a hot mess in terms of Persona LBs. Things need to be worked on but not really sure how to move forward? or at the least there's a rough idea of where you want to take things Nev and will be using P5 as the example and from that spread the consistency?
I'm probably just blabbing but I think that seems right?

Also I can agree with you on people saying they want to run a category or game and never do it. I've seen it a few times already.

Say 2-3 People Are Willing to run it? because as it stands it's a difficulty that get's no show time on the LBs.
Yes it's a DLC, but it's also Free and Everyone with Persona 5 has access to it. I feel it should be available as a category on the LB.
I stated it in the previous post that I personally deleted due to thinking the wording was bad, That I have someone who is willing and able to help route and even race me in a Merciless run.
It's also come to my attention that other people would like to run it as well.
I understand if a proper reason is given in the end but as it stands it's just not being given rep.
If there needs to be a run before you are willing to add it in as a category then by all means I'll run it myself within 2 months time.
I've notice you're missing a good chunk of the games in the series. I know it seems like not many people have submitted times but don't you think people would be more encouraged to if they saw the LB had all the games. I personally am looking into potentially running the .Hack// GU trilogy back to back on NG and I'm a little sad the other two games of the series aren't there. This alongside the fact that there's just a lot more games in the series than you have here bothers me slightly. I'm just kind of curious though not saying you have to do anything.

Just saying that discord is way more efficient than forum posting and we could get a lot more done with instant messaging
Alright well after catching up on everything that's been said. Let me have a few words, though you don't have to listen to me if you don't want, I'm just saying my piece.
Non mods and Mods a-like are bringing up some decent valid points except some randos who I've honestly never even heard of. Lemme just say this though and honestly it's been bugging me. I know there are people saying that some want change and are just too afraid to say it and what not, but why do people like punchy have to take up the mantle for them??? that's like asking the mods to check time stamps because someone doesn't want to put a timer on their VOD. It's doing someone else's work for them.
The whole conversation has run around in circles with argument into counter-argument into counter-counter-argument, but why though? As dead as some I've heard say the community is, there are plenty of active runners who are involved and even new runners from within the last month or two that are getting more involved. None of our active community members who talk in the discord with each other, and who pop into each others streams to help people just get through the run have seemed to complain about this rule we have.
So the question comes down to this, if so many people aren't against this rule but a small minority are, then why are we having this discussion? Now if you really want to be civil about this, then how bout we put it up to a vote? For or Against? and put it in a place where only those who have submitted a run to our LB's are allowed to vote. Ergo nobody who shouldn't have a say can put in a vote. Wouldn't be hard to do either, because if a person wants a vote then they can say "hey, my runs are here can I have access to the voting?" That way anyone who truly cares about this and even has the right to have a say about how the KH community should be done can have a say.
Anyways, I've said enough and I should end here. If you read all that then thank you I suppose.
Neviutz don't you think a week having past is a decent amount of time to be able to verify his run? not any of my business but it just seems weird no one has done it yet.
so miscellaneous then? that's fine but curious if it'd have to go under that If I end up having the only run of any kind up here. though I'm sure someone else will have a run of FES the journey to submit at somepoint in time.
So If I do an NG+ run of this game, then the category can get added as long as there's video proof right? because I was looking into potentially running NG+ on this game but there's no category for it and the only category is Hard, True End. which is for regular NG.
Alright so since we're doing the new timing I'll just go ahead and do another run with new timing and pb, since my time is so terrible and I wouldn't want anyone retiming that
This Certainly helps me and my thoughts, I suppose there would be some games that it might be dead for so that makes sense. I Just thought I'd bring it up in the forums and have it discussed in here at the very least since I haven't seen anything like it in the forums.
So I've noticed some game series that have multiple games tend to have mods that run everything, but then they also tend to have Game specific mods, why don't we do that? I mean as an example I've read forum posts from Hobz saying he doesn't really know much about BBS at all, but I know for a fact he knows stuff about 1.5. I just wanted to ask if we'd ever have something like game specific mods. since some people know more about some games then others.
