The Hostage-Cut glitch is useful for escaping center perks in broad daylight.

1: Start off by checking each desk for duct tape, food and optionally, files. If no duct tape, reset. Also, if you get a file you don't need food.

2: Continue as normal until breakfast.

3: If you have no files, you need four knives. If not reset. If you have one file you need one knife and if you have 2 files you need 0 knives.

4: At the very end of breakfast, get an inmate to follow you and tell him to beat up a guard.

5: When the inmate gets knocked out, duct tape them and head south outside.

6: Go to the white key door, and them goto the third-closest fence to the right.

7: Drop the inmate

8: Click the knife/file, click the fence and them quickly pick up the inmate. You should now be cutting the fence while holding an inmate. Because of the hostage, no one will shoot you. When the cutting has finished, drop the inmate

9: Repeat step 8 until fence is cut.

10: Walk out while holding hostage.

11: Win!
