Good start. Phleebhut had some slight mistakes and a somewhat slow (but still 1st-cycle) Arnoid. Unsure how I golded the Two Guys split, there's still certainly plenty of room to push that one lower. Happy with the finish, lost a couple seconds to my previous PB but I was running against a strong split.

When I got 11:50 more than two years ago I considered it one of my best records; and at the time that certainly was true, the execution (and the RNG) still hold up in a way that's not the case for most of my runs from that time. Most of the timesave comes from more optimized commands, typing during waits, and slightly faster loads from vgaonly emulation as opposed to svga_s3. (I experimented with Tandy, which ought to be even faster, but the gains failed to really materialize and the colors on the Aluminum Mallard's monitor were wonky.)

The interplay between the DOSBox record and the Quan one is fascinating. Originally, I thought Quan would be faster due to faster loads and the ability to hold Enter. Later, DOSBox had the faster record; partly because I optimized that one more, but I started to think it might actually be faster, due to kinder earthquakes and a faster wait at the end of Pestulon. Now the Quan record is faster again - probably because it lets me type faster. (But the Quan WR also has amazing RNG.)
