Why did the new UFO ending "record" get accepted with no video? Do mods not check over runs before submission ?

Currently there is no option on speedrun.com to only require verification/video proof for the 1st Place time. If we enabled it for every run, it would prevent a lot of people from submitting their times and would take up time to verify every single run.

I will check if anyone has requested this feature and if not ask Pac about adding it. EDIT: Read post further below

Please do not submit a fake run to prove a point, as it only makes people question your credibility in future runs.

Thank you for the answer Shunpuk :) Sorry about that time post, it was a stupid thing to do.

After discussion with other runners, we came to the conclusion that it would be best to judge runs on a case by case basis. 

Forcing runners who have proven their skill in other categories to require proof when submitting times would be very redundant, and in some cases obtaining proof (esp video) is very difficult when it comes to runs on console and PSP. Ekudeht's New Game time (which has a recording) more than proves that they have ample skill and knowledge in running this game, and that a 28:33 time is well within their skill range. Also, Ekudeht has stated in the run comments that they will be submitting a recording of a better run very soon, so it is likely proof will be provided with their next PB.

I will still look into requesting a "require verification if run is fastest in category" option. But right now proof will only be strongly recommended, especially in the case of a new runner. If runners disagree with the moderator's decision, they are allowed to hold discussion on whether a time is legitimate or not on these forums, and if enough runners request a proof call we will give the runner in question a deadline to provide proof of a run that proves they can achieve the time stated or faster (this can include just a very close time to their PB).

If a runner is proven to have submitted an illegitimate time, the run will be rejected and they will be required to supply VIDEO evidence with any future times. If a repeat offence occurs or more than one illegitimate run is submitted, we will just reject any future times. If a proof call is ignored, the runner's time will be removed until they can supply proof.  

Because you submitted a fake time, please do not take offence to the fact that we will ask you for video evidence in the future.

As for my vid...didn't realize i was recording audio at the time so enjoy hearing button mashing and breathing....or just don't watch it and wait until I redo the run.:-)
