We can do DIME from any swim height by walking above TTH, doing a backpedal drop, then doing water height control in a small corner of the TTH waterfall.
Loses 15 seconds to just swimming normally sadly.
You can also swim into the bomb spore room nearby and pick up 2x Fuel Cells by swimming under them.
Mission accomplished is skippable
Unclear if this can be routed to save time, since it would need an airswim.
I thought I found an ice block skip, but for some reason this doesn't work after you collect the alpine root

Ending the dialog mid-cutscene does nothing either.
Strangely I got Volcano Force Point Temple files to load from the ThornTail Sewer. I used one hack to freeze Fox's X coordinate to prevent going back in-bounds from the current.
Rena reported getting Moon Mountain Pass text to appear here using a free-move hack.
This is super weird and should be investigated. These maps are not close, and there is no good reason the files should load.
For what it's worth, I was swimming against the current and went around:
This could easily be a bug in Dolphin Memory Engine as well. Unclear. VFPT and the Sewer line up horizontally, so if somehow the X value is being written to as a larger value temporarily, this can happen.
Cannonless CC3, does not require portal opener, flame, or using the cannon. Also does not use any ESWs
Not useful in route, unless we find a way to skip K5 fire.

Note that this was done on a file that did not have Tricky yet, so currents are reversed, and BribeClaw is not cleared.
Weird vanishing bomb plant glitch, when you cutscene overlap learning about the plant / blowing it up with a basket
If you ESW from any dungeon to TTH, you can do an Arwing Warp glitch:

If we could perma-cube the K3 door, we could get K3 without ESW.
To get passed K3 door, we would drop on it from above. To get out, we can just walk out.
I think I found this before, but I didn't know the exact steps.
If you ESW into CRF on a file that has never opened the front gate, you can cause a cutscene void by loading the main area and then backtracking in the entrance tunnel
Unfortunately, Fox is too low to hit any meaningful triggers this way.
Ground Quake can damage HighTop through the ground, but sadly we cannot hit the switches this way
In Discord there was talk about maybe using explosive barrel clipping to hit switches, combined with the glitch to keep switches activated. But this seems super slow and not RTA viable.
Maybe no-airswim DIME can be done RTA? GQ is probably required though.
Turbo controller used to spam roll - everything else is human input:
GQ can kill enemies pretty far below ground

Still very inconsistent, and it would be very hard to get this in a run. This would save roughly 3 minutes by cutting out the entire DIME airswim.
We should probably look for ways to make this consistent...
Might be worth learning if a barrel clip works here
My instinct is that this won't work, and that the clip in IM only works because the gate collision is trash, but you never know
We can do a cutscene warp to leave after collecting K1, so this is not a soft-lock.
You can switch to Tricky Feed hovers which are easier to time, but suck because Tricky modifies Fox's angle
