Never happened to me in the hundred of hours I played the game on PC.
It actually saved you a few seconds while it slowed down Zeroth. Were you pressing any buttons other than run+up? Kind of a weird coincidence as well than you two are the only runners using analog stair skate (to my knowledge, although I know Pessi started using it but it's recent).
im starting to wonder if this may be down to a GPU issue maybe its failing to load something in that area its possible i guess
