Atlus recently altered their streaming policy for this game so that streamers can play until 11/9, which is still pretty dumb, but now that more people are able to stream the game, would people here be interested in running half-game categories? Maybe up until Sae's palace is completed?
Also, due to the length of the run, I'm considering doing a Futaba's palace run, which is halfway through the game. What do you all think?
I mean, in terms of tracking runs of half of a game on this site, personally I don't think it makes much sense at all. Not to mention the four current runs already check that criteria, so you'd then have two categories with the same four runs (+ some extras in the half-game one) on the board.
If the length of the game is a concern, I would personally recommend either:
- Segmented speedrun.
- New Game+. This is about as long as a NG run up to Sae's Palace anyway.
Anything that doesn't actually finish the game in any way possible is a bad idea, as those are more suited as race categories, if anything.
