JadeEmpire.ini Reference

On PC, there are some customizations which are useful to players but are not adjustable within the game itself. Some distributions of Jade Empire (e.g. Steam, GOG) come with the JadeEmpireConfig.exe tool which lets you adjust (some) of these parameters. It's just a GUI for the actual configuration file, which is a plain text file called JadeEmpire.ini.

The following modifications are permitted to be active during your speedrun, which may require manually editing JadeEmpire.ini directly.

NoIntros=1
NoMovies=1
Windowed=1

'NoIntros' brings you to the main menu quicker when launching Jade Empire. This is purely a convenience for the player; it should not affect normal gameplay.

'NoMovies' skips the FMV sequences entirely. Ordinarily, these are not skippable unless you have already completed the game at least once.

You may change 'Windowed' to suit your preference: set it to '1' to play in a window, or '0' to play fullscreen.
