Spark of Light on "A Guardian Rises" Mission

I made a video talking about using a Spark of light on the "A Guardian Rises" mission. I blathered on for a bit and attempted a (shitty) test run.

Using a spark during the cutscenes allows you to: -Gain all 3 classes of weapons -Gain a full set of armor -Gain a grenade ability early (you have to select the right subclass beforehand) -Transfer a better sparrow, lowering the time it takes to travel. -Transfer a heavy ammo synth, lowering the time it takes to kill enemies in the room. -¤possibly¤ let you transfer and equip a Year 1 MIDA, lowering the time it takes to travel on foot. -¤possibly¤ let you transfer and equip a Year 1 Bones of Eao, ¤possibly¤ letting you skip the khvostov gate and lower the time by a SHITLOAD.

My main question here is this: Is this against the rules/too cheesy for running that level?

The video is below and its a bit long because I did a shitty test run.

I don't think it should be counted personally, you only get 1 spark of light, which means only one attempt at a speedrun, otherwise pay what like $30 or so, for a character boost (and that's even if it let's you boost a character post creation - pre a guardian rises. ( I have no idea how the character boosting works)

I also honestly think this level should be treated the same way as let's say 'first firewall' or whatever it's called and not be on the IL's list. considering that firewall mission is a one time thing unless you get that questline on another character, similarly you can never complete a guarding rises more that once on a character (unless i'm missing something).

Kind of a far fetched comparison I guess, but that's just my thoughts. having to create a new character for every attempt at this level is fine if it's going to be ran, but using things like spark of light shouldn't count.

So uhh is it allowed or nah?

Im gonna go with no its not allowed because you only can get 1.

I don't particularly have a huge opinion on this one way or another, I just enjoy finding exploits/weird shit I can do in the game.

However, Zecora and DDRMaster, I do want to point out you can get a virtually unlimited amount of sparks by just creating a new ps4 account (not just a new character on destiny, like a literal ¤new¤ PS4 and Psn account) as long as your main one has activated the ps4 as primary. (This also works the same for all consoles.)

For example my main PSN is Cleverusernombre. I activated my PS4 as the primary PS4 under that account, therefore any new PSN accounts on my PS4 all have Cleverusernombre's DLC and Purchase Licenses, meaning they earn a spark upon creation of a new character and all share the PS+ that's linked to my main acct. I can continuously keep creating more and more accounts, each one giving a spark of light. This costs no money or anything.

I've really been wanting to get into Full New Game (fresh, not ng+) running and I'm also wondering if using a spark would acceptable for that.

Alright I didn't know about that. I feel like if you want to go through the work of creating a new account you can use the spark of light.

But to be fair though, isn't that technically using an exploit outside of destiny in order for you to have an advantage in game?

I don't have a problem if it becomes allowed, I just don't personally think that it should be, as a personal opinion.

Also, another reason I bring this up, is can you do this for ps3/360/ and XBone as well? If it can then I'll give completely in and say go for it. it just wouldn't be fair if one trick was able to be exploited on a given system giving it an advantage over the other platforms.

This is coming from a PS4 player BTW

So I started testing this on my hunter with bones and mida, and I have to say I'd prefer if it wasn't allowed. I can make new accounts but they won't have year one bones or year one mida on them. Which means if I mess up on the jumps at the beginning the run is over and I'd have to spend like $5 to try again.

it should also be pointed out that the spark of light is only available to players who are playing on a console with TTK installed (I think that's right anyways).

so if there is an off chance that a person just has the base game and wanted to get into speedrunning they would have an extremely unfair disadvantage on a level that they shouldn't have one on

But as I said in my very first comment though, I don't even think this mission should even be on the leaderboards because its theoretically just another "one time" mission similar to the firewall mission or whatever it's called.

Regardless, if the spark is going to be allowed though, it should be in it's own separate section as not everybody has access to it.
