Submitting edited run

Hi, I've been running this game for a while now but I've never posted a run. Now I want to post a run because I feel that my time is good enough. I run the game on Xbox one and my best time is a 54:19 on assisted. However with the Xbox one I can only record for up to a hour at a time and with the added loading times, cut scenes, etc it always puts my recording over a hour, invalidating it because it ends before I can show the time at the end. There's a clear answer of just getting faster but if I wanted to post a run now what would my options be? Is pausing the game and then stopping and starting the recording again allowed? Any other possible solutions for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried live streaming? Just open up your archives on Twitch (I believe Mixer has the same thing) and take the stream VOD. For Twitch it allows you to highlight certain parts of the stream for whatever reason you want. So in this instance you can get the menu, plus all the load ins and what not. Its what I used and ive been doing good til my internet has pooping. Good part is you just need your xbox to livestream from console and just another way to access your twitch account on your phone or laptop to open archives and highlight what you want to submit.. hope this helps

Yah PS4 is the same. I always just stream from my PS4. Make a highlight of the run on Twitch then Export it to Youtube. Super simple.

I just want to add that the best way to record your runs is with a capture card. I recommend getting one even if you are going to stream, because then you can record a local copy. Having a local recording is good because it won't be effected by things like internet dropping or skipping.

Hey, I am also running the game on an Xbox one and I highlight all of runs on twitch to submit them. Just install the twitch app on your Xbox and create an account/sign in and go to broadcast. Everything you do in game will be live-streamed and saved on twitch. You can download your clips and upload them to YouTube or just submit the link of the twitch highlight.

That’s the free way of doing it, but ideally you would want to use a capture card for maximum quality

Make sure you are hardwired always. A second hiccup can ruin your run.

Yea man especially now a days how everyone has free internet due to the ongoing epidemic. Bandwidth drops are terrible due to it.

ya ive tried streaming it but my internet isnt the best so either I just have my internet hold out for the entire run or I fit the run into the hour that i have on the console
