We recently requested a category extentions page for RE2 to allow more categories that don't really "fit in" to the main leaderboard so if anyone has suggestions for new fun categories go ahead and have your say now

Possible Categories so far;

• No Damage
• Shotgun Only
• Pistol Only
• All Mr X Kills
• 100% (needs defining by the community)
• New Game+
• All Main scenarios in 1 sitting (Leon A, Leon B, Claire A, Claire B ) adding up all of the final IGT's would give you your overall time.
• Kill All / Kill All Knife Only

Categories that won't be added;

• Easy mode because it adds nothing new to the run.
• Arrange mode since it's just the US version.
• Ranking categories such as S Rank.

4 Scenarios 1 run.

100% would include all files, all unique weapons, all bosses.

Just asking, would an "All Kill" or "All doors" be possible ?

Kill All would be possible for sure

And by all doors i guess you mean enter all rooms?

You cant kill everything exacly. Because of Brad / 2 zombies in the rpd courtyard and the zombies / dogs in the first segment with sherry.

We can make a kill all possible, but first what should be considered as a kill. Zombies despawn if you shot him in the legs with the shotgun/magnum and leave the room, embryos also despawn if you leave the room.

@StevenMayte : I thought more of a "All doors open" but I guess it implies that you enter every room of the game :p But as an example : when you get to the stairs between the crows passage and the desks, you could just "enter the room" without using both doors.

@allancg : I know, it would be good to define what an all kill would imply, but it is like in a Claire B Knife%, you can't kill Mister X at the end without the rocket launcher, so this should be more of a all possible and clear kills, no room reset and despawn. (and Brad and the zombies could be killed with the knife, isn't it ?)

Picking up items before RPD despawns brad but spawns in zombies outside RPD so brad wouldn't be included.

The game classes Decapping a zombie as killing it so i think that's fine.

Since Peko has done a run of it: Knife Only, All Kills.

I think All Scenarios is a great idea and Kill All/All Possible sounds like it would be a nice change of pace.

I've been thinking about what the definition of 100% would be and here is what I've came up with:

Bosses to Kill: Brad G-Embryo Crocodile G2 Moth G3 G4

Things to Collect: All Maps All Files All Unique Weapons, Upgrades and Unique Items

Other: Use all Unique Keys and Items (Keys must be discarded. Items like the cable for the windows needs to be used). Register Fingerprint in Lab

I dont think entering worthless rooms is necissary or picking up non-unique items like multible small keys or ammo.

Im okay with this definition, with "other". Maybe we could add best possible rank as a requirement (S for japanese, A for other that dont have rank S)

I dont see a reason to pick up or kill everything.

what is the requirement for rank S/A ? No FAS, No Save, a time under 2:30:00 ?

All files makes me not want to bother with the category but if others want it that's how it will be. Maybe make a thread dedicated to 100% and see opinions.

Not sure about ranking either since for some people getting an S rank could be hard and it seems like an unfair entry bracket to the category for that reason

lets not forget hard mode

There is a list for the All kill ? cause it's confused, some zombies / enemies are hidden and some repop in certain zone after a cutscene.

is there a speedrun for Leon A arranged Easy or Normal Category?? Or what would that fall under when it comes to running using live split

Arrange mode Is just the US version with japanese text so it doesn't have a category.

When trying for a PB what time do you go off of? would it be the live split timer or the game time at the end of the game showing your time??
