Set pronouns should be used in notifications. For example, in this image: https://imgur.com/a/wftuBMi
Evansfight has his pronouns set to He/Him yet the notification still says "Their time is" instead of "His time is."
Presumably if someone has multiple pronouns checked, they are fine with any of them being used.
It wouldn't make the message any longer, and I'm not suggesting to add anything. The message already says "their time," I am just saying that word can be replaced with "her time" or "his time" if applicable.
Just get rid of pronouns and solve the problem from the source.

"Just get rid of notifications and solve the problem from the source." "Just get rid of run submissions and solve the problem from the source." "Just get rid of the site and solve the problem from the source."
Getting rid of features just because of one tiny interaction is hardly solving the problem, as there's probably a reason the feature was implemented in the first place.
In any case, I agree with @Garsh in that using "Their" is sufficient for the purpose of notifications and that the site has bigger fish to fry right now.
Obviously the site needs fixing, but that doesn't mean people can't request small changes for after all that is sorted. I think that it would be nice to have and easy to implement once this disaster of an update has been dealt with.
why add pronouns if notification disrespect them anyways?
