Will switch version be allowed?

Thinking of running this game, but I only have the switch version.

I wouldn't see why not? I assume the Switch version works similarly to the Wii VC and 3DS VC version. :)

Best of luck on the runs!

Switch version works the same as the NES. The same amount of stutter occurs. It should either be allowed in the main categories (my suggestion) or have its own. I'll play through it a few more times, but I know my PB on NES was better than my PB on Switch (and I'm pretty consistent and did get a quick Swami skip), so it doesn't appear to have a noticeable advantage.

Once there has been more time for testing a decision will be made. If there is no difference then the option for the switch console will be added to the run submission.

Was thinking of trying this, but only have the Switch. I know Switch is allowed for other NES games, checking to see if a decision was ever made on this.

Saw that the "Switch" version that you ran came from the NES online games package, which is fine as it's the original game's ROM.

One thing that will need to be reviewed will be the version on the Kunio Kun compilation game that got released in Japan, as that one has "lag-free" versions of the NES and Famicom games with QoL improvements added to them, which would obviously deviate from the norm when it comes to the original game.

Will watch your run momentarily.
